Go to uboot:

Power on. When press F of F stop auto-boot in 3 seconds: 0 appears, press the f key on the disk.

Password for uboot cmd line:

Password: [email protected]

Bypass console password:

<Ap3030dn> defaultuser

Press Y, and then

<Ap3030dn> Reset

Restart to go to the password-free console.

Taking AP3010DN-AGN as an Example

Thin mode to fat Mode

1. After the AP is started, log on to the console. The default account is admin and the password is [email protected].

2. After Successful Logon, the default IP address of the AP is 169.254.1.1/24. We can set the IP address of the computer to the IP address of the same network segment, such as 169.254.1.2/24, and then connect the computer network port to the AP network port.

The AP runs the following commands in sequence:

[Huawei] ap-mode-switch prepare

[Huawei] ap-mode-switch check

[Huawei] ap-mode-switch TFTP fatap3x10xn_v200r005c10spca00.bin 169.254.1.2

Note: TFTP is followed by the full name of the fat AP file and the address of the TFTP server. After the command is run, the AP automatically downloads the specified file from the TFTP server. After downloading the file, you must manually confirm it. Input Y and the AP restarts automatically. During the restart process, the AP automatically loads and upgrades the new file.

3. After the restart is complete, log on to the AP and enter the display version. After confirming that the version is the version we have upgraded, we can think that the AP has been upgraded to the fat mode.

Convert the fat mode to the thin Mode

1. After the AP is started, log on from the Console port to switch to SYS mode. The AP network port is in VLAN 1 by default. We only need to configure the IP address of VLAN 1, it can be used for communication with the TFTP server or remote management. In this example, we set the IP address of VLAN 1 to 172.16.10.1/24, and the IP address of the TFTP server to 172.16.10.2/24.

2. Enter the following commands in sequence to start AP conversion:

[Huawei] ap-mode-switch prepare

[Huawei] ap-mode-switch check

[Huawei] ap-mode-switch TFTP fitap5x10xn_v200r005c10spc700.bin 172.16.10.2

3. After the upgrade is completed, we use the default account and password of the thin AP to log on (admin/[email protected]), enter the display version, and confirm that the version is the version we upgraded, the AP has been upgraded to the thin mode.

Note 1: Huawei AP fat version of the corresponding files can be downloaded from the Huawei official website, software download link: http://support.huawei.com/enterprise/zh/software/index.html

Note 2: The existing configuration is cleared whether it is switched from the fat mode to the thin mode or from the thin mode to the fat mode.
