IE8 the Address bar still pops up history?

Failure phenomenon:

It clears IE's browsing record, but when you enter the URL in the browser's address bar, it still appears before the site's address.

Reason Analysis:

Internet Explorer 8 uses Windows Search to index content that has already been accessed, and when you enter an address to the address bar, IE 8 automatically searches for and extracts information from the index (Windows XP requires additional downloads to install Windows Search to achieve this function). This is the convenient place for IE 8. ~~

Solution:

If not, we can disable the consolidation of Internet Explorer and Windows Search. The specific actions are as follows:

Open Internet Explorer, and click Tools-> Options on the toolbar. (If the toolbar is not visible, click the combination key alt+t to pull it out);

When the Internet Options window pops up, open the Content tab, and in the AutoComplete bar, click the Settings button;

Computer knowledge

In the automatic completion setting of the Address bar, uncheck "Get better results with Windows Search", and then click OK to save the changes;
