If you find that the vpuserinfo. nsf database is damaged, how can this problem be solved? Can the database be rebuilt?
Answer:
You can try to repair the database or restore a copy of the backup.
1. repair the damaged database:
There are two methods:
A. Enter the following command on the Domino server console:
Load fixup vpuserinfo. nsf
Load updall-r vpuserinfo. nsf
Load compact vpuserinfo. nsf
B. Run the following command from the doscommand window of the server:
Convert the current directory toProgramDirectory: (for example, c: \ Lotus \ domino)
Enter the following command:
Nfixup.exe c: \ Lotus \ domino \ data \ vpuserinfo. nsf
Nupdall.exe-R c: \ Lotus \ domino \ data \ vpuserinfo. nsf
Ncompact.exe c: \ Lotus \ domino \ data \ vpuserinfo. nsf
Note: Some customers do not place the data directory under \ Lotus \ domino \ data. Before running the command, make sure that the command points to the directory where the vpuserinfo. nsf database is located.
2. Restore the database from the backup copy:
Note: The backup database only retains the user contact list during Backup. After the backup, the modified contacts cannot be restored.
-Copy available backups.
-Rename the existing corrupted database as vpuserinfo. Old.
-Copy the backup to the server.
-Restart the Sametime server. You can run the following command to restart the Sametime server without restarting Domino:
Tell staddin Q
Load staddin
