To the users of the illustrator software to the detailed analysis of the design of a simple three-dimensional calendar of the production of the icon tutorial.
Tutorial Sharing:
1. Using the rectangular tool (M), start drawing a square.

2. Execute effect menu >3D> rotate, rotate square. You do not need to enter a value in the figure below, but you must remember the value you entered, because after we add text, you have to use it (note: In fact, do not remember that it does not matter, as long as the rotation is complete, a new graphic style can be, and then to use this effect as long as the application can). When determined, executes the Object menu > expanded appearance, extending the shape.

3. To simulate the thickness of the calendar, we use the illustrator 3D extrude and bevel options. Execute Effects menu >3D> extrude and bevel. X-axis rotation input 1 degrees (1th box). Enter a large value in the protruding thickness box, as shown in the figure. The larger the value of the x-axis, the smaller the value should be in the projected thickness. I still use my method because it is less distorted to the calendar dough than to enter a large x-axis value and a small projecting thickness value. OK, and then execute the Object menu > expand Appearance. Finally, execute the Object menu > Solution Group. Note: You may need to solve a group several times until each object can be manipulated independently.

4. Repeat step 3rd to make the base of the calendar. Enlarge the shape to make it wider than the shape above. Remember to expand and solve the group so that you can paint each face of the object in subsequent operations.

5. Execute Object menu > Path > Displacement path to create a sideline on the upper part of the calendar. The values you enter are shown below. We can add a high light or a gradient to the shame line on each side of the calendar, so a small detail can enhance the overall texture of the picture.

6. Give you a gradient of the inner shape you just drew. Think about how to make the left side of the calendar look lighter than the gradient on the right side. Using the Pen tool (P), draw some lines in the inner shape you just drew to simulate the side effects of the calendar. There is no numerical reference to this step, just the way your eyes feel. Note that the line to the endpoint is cut (note: You can draw an ellipse, and then flatten, and then around 2 smooth points to convert to corner points).

7. After the line is drawn, use the distribution button to make the line and line distance equally distributed.

8. After that, you can select all the lines and give them a gradient fill so they blend perfectly into the shape behind them. Give the base of the calendar some color, the color of the left is lighter, the color of the right is darker. Use the previous method to draw a page edge on this side, and then add a high light such as the figure to create a shadow and a high light effect.

9. Choose your favorite font (I use the Din font), enter your favorite text, put it above the calendar. Perform effects menu >3D> rotate, rotate text to match the angle of the calendar dough. Enter the value of the 2nd step you have used (if you have created a new graphic style, then you can click the graphic style to apply it), and then determine.

10. Change the color of the text to white.

11. Draw a rectangle on the dough of the calendar, the blue rectangle as shown in the following figure. Fills a gradient color.

12. Use the same method as vectortuts to draw numbers on the dough of the calendar. Then add a fine white outline to the number.

13. Draw a shape similar to the following figure to make the page-flipping effect. The smoother the shape, the more real the page will look.

14. In order for the page to look as real as possible, we need to modify the left-page section. First select the dough and curly pages of the calendar. In the Path Finder palette, click the Split button. Then execute the Object menu > Solution Group. Note: After you use the split button, you may need to adjust the stacking order of the shapes, because some of the shapes may be covered.

15. Select a crimp page that is divided into 2 halves, using the path finder to add buttons to the shape area in the palette, and point to expand. The curly pages that are now divided into 2 halves are grouped together, and the dough of the calendar is split into 2 parts (the left half of the page and the right half of the page).

16. Use the direct selection tool (A) to point to the anchor point shown below and move up a little to the right.

17. Draw an arc shape to replace the straight edges on the page, select the 2 shapes, and then use the Path Finder palette to subtract buttons from the shape area, as shown in the highlights below. Then the dot expands.

18. Copy the curly page and adjust the position to get another page effect.

19. Fill a gradient on the right side of the calendar to create a shaded illusion.

20. Fill the gradient with the page. The gradient on the left page is a bit deeper, because it has an object's color and it is very close (personally feel that the editor refers to the calendar of the dough and the 2nd page on the color closer). Execute the Object menu > Path > Displacement path, which is the way we used to offset the 5th step, offset the crimp page to add some highlights (note: The offset path at the corner point will produce some minor problems, I think using stroke to expand is a good choice).

21. You can use a gradient to give a subtle change to the new shape, so you can highlight the edges on the page.

22. Using the shape of the calendar dough and the flattened square on the bottom corner, you can easily create a projection. Executive Effects menu > Blur > Gaussian blur, input values (blur looks soft on the line) to show the effect of the shadow.

Finished picture
Put the projection on the bottom of the calendar, give the calendar dough a gradient, simple icon is done!

Well, the above information is small set to you illustrator of this software users of the detailed design of a simple three-dimensional calendar icon of the production of a tutorial to analyze the entire content of the share, you see the users here, this icon for a wide range of uses. As long as you have the imagination, you can edit the calendar to modify the dough to adapt to a variety of different needs, then everyone quickly to follow the small part of the share of their own to make it.
