Before upgrading td to QC, I used various upgrade methods. However, it was found that importing defects to the QC database using Excel is the easiest and convenient method. The implementation steps are as follows:
1. First, log on to TD, display all information about the defect on the interface, and then use the defect tool to save all the defects on the page to the Excel table;
2. Create a new project in QC to import defects, and add users in TD (The names must be the same) to QC;
3. Modify the saved defect Excel table and match the values of key columns of TD to QC, such as the project member name, priority, urgency, version number, and so on;
1) delete an empty column in an Excel table;
2) The values in the status, source, type, severity, priority, and other columns of defects must be consistent with those in QC;
4. Install the Office 2007 and other plug-ins 8''qcmsexceladdin.exe] On the QC server;
5. Open the defect list in QC and select all rows except the first row in any column to ensure all bugs are imported;
6. Select "add-on"-"export to Quality Center" in the Excel table to import data.
When importing more than 4000 data records, multiple data entries may not match. Therefore, the number of QC and Excel entries must be adjusted multiple times for a long time.
