I have learned a lot from the university to graduate students in terms of network, and I have learned twice from the classic <computer network>. I have worked on Nat, IPv6, and DNS projects during my postgraduate studies. I have analyzed the TCP/IP network protocol during ZTE's internship. The course content is partial, but the effect is good. We can link all the theoretical knowledge we have learned to increase our comprehensive and in-depth understanding of computer networks. People who have learned the network should have learned routing algorithms, dynamic routing protocols (RIP, OSPF, and BGP). After many years, we will see this reaction? Have you learned things. I have learned at least twice in my own experience, but I still can't remember it, probably because these routing protocols are very boring and the short-term memory test is okay. I'm sure I forget it for a long time. However, through this lab course, we will have a completely different impression on these protocols, for example, configuring the RIP and OSPF protocols and comparing the differences between the two, there are also defects in the experiment experience protocol, such as the count to infinity problem of RIP. In the experiment, we can see how the route table is created and which packets are transmitted in the network.

The course includes 7 experiments, from familiarity with the most basic Linux commands, to IP, ICMP, to vro settings, Nat, DHCP, and DNS. it is not difficult for a single experiment, but there are a lot of experiments, every experiment may take about five or six hours. When everything goes well, people who often start to know that the theory is usually simple and refreshing, and there may be any messy problems in practice, for example, if the network cable is broken, the IP address is configured incorrectly, or an intermediate step is missing, if you are not careful enough and do not know how to debug it, you can use dozens of minutes for a small problem. In addition, you need to submit a detailed lab report after completing the experiment. Many lab links in the course are associated with the problem. The students need to explain the data or phenomenon and think about and answer these questions, which can help the students understand the details, it is also a prominent advantage of this book. The answers to these questions and lab data must be reflected in the lab report. Therefore, Writing Lab reports is also a test of people's work. I remember that each group wrote an average of 500 million pages of PDF reports, A group of students even wrote more than 1000 pages (too inconsiderate of me .) Without a doubt, after carefully completing these experiments, you will have a deeper understanding of network theory, and the network debugging capability will be greatly improved. In the future, both related research and related work will have a good foundation. Of course, it is no problem to install a small network for your relatives and friends.

It is strongly recommended that colleges and universities in China introduce this lab course or such Lab Course. If some courses can be used to watch open classes of prestigious schools on the Internet (the effect may not be good, but they are not supervised and no one modifies their homework, it is difficult for such lab courses to learn from the Internet.
