In-depth analysis of vlan settings and faults of Huawei switches. When using Huawei switches, users often encounter vlan settings of Huawei switches, in the following article, I will reply to you using routers to forward data between two vlan settings of different Huawei switches.
Networking requirements
The two PCs are divided into two Huawei switch vlan settings. The routers are used to forward data between two different Huawei switch vlan settings.

Procedure
Configure the Quidway router:
# Create and enter the Ethernet sub-interface Ethernet0.1 view.
[Quidway] interfaces ethernet 0.1
# Specify the ID number set for the vlan of the Huawei switch to 3.
[Quidway-Ethernet0.1] vlan-type dot1q vid 3
# Configure an IP address for it.
[Quidway-Ethernet0.1] ip address 3.3.3.8 too many
# Create and enter the Ethernet sub-interface Ethernet0.2 view.
[Quidway] interfaces ethernet 0.2
# Specify the ID number set for the vlan of the Huawei switch to 4.
[Quidway-Ethernet0.2] vlan-type dot1q vid 4
# Configure an IP address for it.
[Quidway-Ethernet0.2] ip address 3.3.3.55 too many
Configure the LAN Switch:
# Configure the LANSwitch port information.
Port:
Port1: default Vlan id: 3 port type: untagged
Port2: default Vlan id: 4 port type: untagged
Port3: default Vlan id: 0 port type: tagged
# Configure vlan settings for the Huawei switch of the Lanswitch.
Vlan:

Vlan index: 0
Vlan id: 003
Including ports:
Port 1: 'yes'
Port 2: 'no'
Port 3: 'yes'
Unknown Vlan: Discard
Vlan index: 1
Vlan id: 004
Including ports:
Port 1: 'no'
Port 2: 'yes'
Port 3: 'yes'
Diagnosis and troubleshooting of Common Faults in vlan settings of Huawei Switches
One of the failures in vlan settings of Huawei switches: Ping the IP address of the Ethernet sub-interface in the vlan settings of the same Huawei switch from the PC and cannot be pinged. Troubleshooting: follow these steps. First, use display interfaces ethernet 0.1 or display interfaces ethernet 0.2 to confirm that the physical interfaces and protocols of the sub-interface are in the Up state. If the configuration is correct and the status of the physical interface and protocol is Down, check whether the network cable is correctly connected.
If both the physical interface and the Protocol are in the Up status, but the Ping still fails, check whether the LAN Switch configuration is correct, make sure that the default vlan id of the port connected to the vro Ethernet interface must be different from the default vlan id of all ports connected to the PC, and the port type must be "tagged "; the port type of the port connected to the PC must be set to "untagged", because the PC cannot identify the packets with the Huawei switch vlan settings label.
Failure 2 in vlan settings of Huawei switches: The two PCs are pinged to each other and cannot be pinged. Troubleshooting: follow these steps. First, Ping the IP address of the Ethernet sub-interface in the vlan setting of the same Huawei switch from a PC. If the IP address cannot be pinged, troubleshoot the problem according to the method described in one of the faults.
If the PC can Ping the IP address of the Ethernet sub-interface in the vlan settings of the same Huawei switch, but the Ping to the other PC cannot, then, use the route print command in the MS-DOS of the two PCs to check whether there is a route to the peer PC. If not, add the corresponding route.
