In some systems, running any GP Tool in arctoolbox reports a Microsoft Script error, and the tool dialog box is blank.

Error message:

Running any GP Tool in arctoolbox generates the following Microsoft Script Error:

"Your current security settings prohibit running ActiveX controls on this page.
As a result, the page may not display correctly ."

After clicking "yes", an IE Script Error is displayed, which is similar to the screenshot below:

After you click "yes" or "no" three times, the dialog box of the GP Tool becomes blank.

Cause:

This error is caused by Program Conflict. At least two software programs are known to cause this problem: firerms and Edo.

Solution:

• Uninstall conflicting software, such as firerms or Edo.
