Informix 5.0 for OpenServer installation

1. Set up Informix Group, Informix users;

2. Modify the $home/.profile file for Informix users by adding:

INFORMIXDIR=/usr/informix　　　(informix的主目录)
PATH=$PATH:$INFORMIXDIR/bin
export INFORMIXDIR
export PATH

3. Modify the system core parameters, #vi/etc/conf/cf.d/mtune

Change the value "524287" of the last column in the row that contains the "Maxumem" parameter to "52428700"

#/etc/conf/bin/idtune SHMMAX 409600000
#/etc/conf/bin/idtune MAXUMEM 52428700
#/etc/conf/cf.d/link_unix –y
#shutdown –g0 –y

4. Log in as root, put on the CD, and execute:

#mount -r /dev/cd0 /mnt
#cd $INFORMIX_HOME
#cpio –iBvdmcu < /mnt/online.cpi
# ./installonline

Input online license and key

5. Log in as Informix, execute:

$tbmonitor-> Parameters

Configure the initialization, Share memory. At this point, the online 5.0 installation is complete.
