1. Prepare a large-capacity USB flash drive, such as the 8 gb usb flash drive of Kingston.
2. format the USB flash drive with hpusb, select create a DOS Startup Disk in the options, and select the free dos folder in the file directory.
3. Copy the image file *. ISO of Fedora 5 to the root directory of the USB flash drive.
4. Open the first. ISO file and release the isolinux folder to the root directory of the USB flash drive.
4. Upload a loadlin.exe file to the isolinux folder under the root directory of the USB flash drive.
5. Compile a script autoboot.batand put it in the same directory as loadin.exe. The content is as follows:
Loadlin vmlinuz initrd = initrd. IMG ramdisk_size = 9216% 1% 2% 3% 4% 5% 6% 7% 9
7. Restart the machine, press F12 to open the boot menu, and select start from the USB flash drive.
8. Go to the command line and run:
CD isolinux
Autoboot. bat
Start InstallationProgramInterface. Then, select/sda1 in the media Installation option, and click OK. The remaining steps are the same as those of the CD.
