Install the Sublime Text 3 (Build 3065) Text Editor in Ubuntu

Sublime Text 3 is a lightweight, cross-platform Text editor. The advanced text editing software can be installed on Ubuntu, Windows, and mac OS X. It has a proprietary license, but the program can be used for free, without the need for reverse engineering. If you want a more advanced version, you can pay for it.

Sublime Text 3 is still a test version, and the latest version is Sublime Text 3 (Build 3065 ).

Installation is very convenient because PPA is available. It supports Ubuntu 15.04, 14.10, 14.04, 12.04, and derivative versions. Open the terminal and enter the following command:

Sudo add-apt-repository ppa: webupd8team/sublime-text-3
Sudo apt-get update
Sudo apt-get install sublime-text-installer

Run the following command to uninstall sublime text:

Sudo apt-get remove sublime-text-installer
