Install VMware Tools under [Red Hat Enterprise linux.5.10 Server Edition]

The role of Vmware-tools:
VMware Tools is a driver for VMware's enhanced virtual graphics and hard disk performance, as well as for synchronizing virtual machines with host clocks, and the direct effect is to improve the display resolution of the virtual system, and the mouse can switch directly between the virtual machine interface and the host interface. Don't press Ctrl+alt.

Installation conditions:


1, the Redhatlinux under VMware has been installed to complete

2. There is a Linux CD image file under this version of VMware.
It is recommended that you install the VMware full version so that the Linux disc image file defaults to the C:\Program files\vmware\vmware Workstation folder after the VMware installation is complete.

3. Go to "System Tools"-"terminal", execute
Mount/mnt/cdrom command, and then close "terminal".

4. Enter the/mnt/cdrom directory and copy the "vmwaretools6.0.2-59824.tar.gz" file to the/tmp directory.

5, go to "System Tools"-"terminal", extract files, perform the installation, the command is as follows:

[[email protected] ~]# TAR-ZXVF vmwaretools-6.0.2-59824.tar.gz * Extract Files *
