This document takes the Sun Fire V880 Server (6*73GB Dsik) as an example to explain how to install and maintain Solarsi8 and RAID1 using the command line in RAID5. The contents of this document have been verified by my practice, but for different models for reference only, thank you for your support!

After the system is installed, use SOLARSI8 software 2 of 2 to install the disksuite_4.2.1 software, install the path:/cdrom/cdrom0/solaris_8/ea/installer & Choose the default installation.
Log in with the root user and run the following command:
#prtvtoc/DEV/RDSK/C1T0D0S2|FMTHARD–S–/DEV/RDSK/C1T1D0S2
Fmthard:new Volume Table of contents now
The above command adjusts the file partition table of the second hard disk (C1T1D0) to the same as the boot disk.
#umount/metadb
#rm –r/metadb
#vi/etc/vfstab
Comment out or delete the following line, as follows:
#/dev/dsk/c1t0d0s7/dev/rdsk/c1t0d0s7/metadb UFS 1 yes–
First, RAID1
Mirror each partition as follows:
Mr. ① into replicas, which is used inside disksuite.
