Installation and use of Derby database

Derby database is a pure use Java the implemented memory database, which belongs to the Apache of an open source project. Because it is implemented in Java, it can be run on any platform, and another feature is a small size, no installation, just a few small jar packages to run. The following is the installation and configuration

Installation

1). Download the Derby database (for example, Db-derby-10.10.1.1-bin.zip) from Apache and extract it to any directory (e.g. D:\Derby\db-derby-10.10.1.1-bin). 2). Configure the environment variable Derby_home=d:\derby\db-derby-10.10.1.1-bin and add it to the path and CLASSPATH environment variables (%derby_home%\bin;%d Erby_home%\lib\derbyrun.jar) 3). Description

1. The SysInfo tool is used to display Java Environment information and Derby version information.
2. ij tool for database interaction, execute SQL scripts such as query, add and revise, create TABLE, etc.
