Installation notes for VMware esxi and vcenter

 

1. Download The esxi CD image and dial it. mount it to the host and restart it. Install the esxi operating system. Set the password of the root account and the IP address of the local machine.

2. download and install the vsphere client.

3. Open the vsphere client, enter the user name and password, and connect to the esxi operating system.

4. Apply for a test key on the VMware official website, which expires in 60 days.

5. Click the interface in the following order and enter the key.

 

6. Create a virtual machine in esxi and install vcenter on it.

Download Microsoft Visual C ++ 2008 redistributable package (x64) and install it on the VM.

 

7. When such a prompt occurs, open the. NET Framework 3.5 feature in the Server Manager, and then download Microsoft. NET Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1 and install it here.

 

8. Before the database options step, I first installed a 64-bit instance of SQL server on the local machine.

Note: The figure above shows that a 64-bit system DSN is required.

Open Data Source (ODBC) in the management tool ).

Create a system DSN.
