I. move the cursor
In the text editing process, we often have to deal with the cursor (also called the insert point. Move the cursor to the place where you want to insert or delete a Chinese character. The following describes the cursor movement key:
Press the "cursor" key: move the cursor up
Press the "cursor" key: move the cursor downward
Press "→": move the cursor to the right
Press the "cursor" key: move the cursor to the left
Press "home": move the cursor to the beginning of the line
Press "end": move the cursor to the end of the row
Press Pageup: Move the screen up each time the cursor is clicked
Press Pagedown.
Press Ctrl + home to move the cursor to the beginning of the file.
Press Ctrl + end to move the cursor to the end of the file.
Ii. Deletion key
Press the "trim" Key ("backspace" on some keyboards): Delete the character before the cursor
Press the "delete" Key (or the "Del" in the numeric keypad) to delete the character after the cursor.
Iii. insert/Rewrite Switch
There are two editing statuses during text input: insert and rewrite. When editing is in the Insert state, a new character is inserted before the cursor. If it is in the rewrite state, the character after the cursor is changed to the new character.
If you want to change a word to an error, you can switch to the rewrite state, move the cursor to the front of the error to be changed, and then enter a new character.
Note: To insert some characters. Do not switch to the rewrite state. Otherwise, all the text behind the cursor will be changed.
Insert status rewrite status
Insert status: the word "Rewrite" on the status bar changes to Gray.
Rewrite status: the "Rewrite" on the status bar turns black.
How to switch:
Method 1: press the "insert" key on the keyboard or the "ins" key in the digital keyboard area (non-digital)
Method 2: Double-click "Rewrite" on the status bar.
Iv. Space key
The Space key is the longest key at the bottom of the keyboard. It depends on whether the current editing status is "insert status" or "rewrite status"
Insert status: press this key to insert a space character before the cursor to adjust the distance between the two characters.
Rewrite status: press this key to change the character after the cursor to a space character.
For example, "we" inserts two spaces in the middle of the two characters.
Note: When you use spaces to adjust the Character spacing, do not switch to the "Rewrite" state. Otherwise, the text behind the cursor will be changed to spaces.
5. Enter
Purpose: ① when entering text, you can press this key to move the character behind the cursor down one line, that is, a new paragraph.
If a piece of text is lost, press "enter" to wrap it! To divide a text segment into two paragraphs, move the cursor to the segment and press Enter.
② In other operations, press this key to end the command and ask the computer to perform the operation.
6. capital letter Lock key: Caps Lock
It is used to switch between uppercase and lowercase letters. Click this key. A corresponding indicator is displayed on the top of the numeric keyboard area, and the light is on. Press the button, turn off the light, and enter lowercase letters.
Note: When entering Chinese characters, you must switch to the lowercase state, that is, the light on state.
7. Shift
1. Press the Shift key and press another key to enter the symbol on the key.
For example, to enter "% ¥" :() ", You need to press this key.
2. for case-sensitive exchange: if the current status is capital (caps lock light), press and hold the key to press the upper key, and then enter a lower-case letter. If the current status is lower-case, press and hold the key to enter uppercase letters.
VIII. ESC
① Interrupt and cancel operations: for example, if you click a menu or call up a dialog box and you do not want to perform this operation, you can press this key to cancel the operation.
② In dos, it can be used to exit a software.
9. digit Lock key: Num Lock
The key is located in the upper-left corner of the digital keyboard area. There is a corresponding indicator on the top. Click it, the light is on, and then click it. The light is off.
When the light is on-enter a number
When the light is turned off-enable the function key, that is, "del (delete), INS (insert/Rewrite), Home", and so on.
10. Tab key
This function key has two main functions:
1. In the text editing software, click this key to move the cursor to the next tab. (For details, refer to the word textbook)
2. In the dialog box, press this key to switch the cursor among the options cyclically.
As shown in, I need to open the 2.doc file under the f root directory. Now the cursor is in the "search range" position. You just need to press the "tab" key twice, move the cursor to the file list area, and then press the direction key, move the cursor to the file to be opened and enter the Enter key.
During the exercise, you can press the "tab" Key several more times to observe the cursor movement.
11. screen capture: Print Screen
① Print the entire Screen
To capture the entire screen and paste it into a Word document, follow these steps:
Step 1: Prepare the image to be captured
Step 2: press Print Screen
Step 3: switch to the Word document and move the insert point to the position to be pasted.
Step 4: press Ctrl + V to paste
② Print the activity window (the window currently being operated)
If you open several windows in windows, there is always a window located at the top, the title bar of this window is blue (others are gray), this window is called an activity window, that is, the window currently being operated. To print the activity window, press the Alt key and click Print Screen. Other operations are the same as above.
12. Use of key combinations
Ctrl, shift, and ALT cannot be used separately. They are used with other function keys on the keyboard to complete a specific function. Specific methods of use, each software also has a special definition. I will not go into details here. However, when using keys that contain these keys, you usually press Ctrl, shift, or Alt first, and then press other keys. When releasing a button, you must first release other function keys.
