First, LAN interface cable standard

10BASE-T: Twisted-pair cable, generally use rj-45 connector, the maximum effective transmission distance is from the hub 100m, even high-quality 5 twisted pair can only reach 150m. Its matching resistance is 120 euro.

100BASE-TX: Using more than 5 pairs of twisted-pair, the length of the network segment can be as long as 100m.

100BASE-FX: Using a pair of multimode or single-mode fiber, when using multimode fiber, the distance between the computer and the hub can be up to 2km, and the maximum can reach 10km when using single-mode fiber.

1000BASE-T: Using more than 5 pairs of twisted-pair, the length of the network segment can be as long as 100m.

1000base-f: Using a pair of multimode or single-mode fiber, when using multimode fiber, the distance between the computer and the hub can reach the maximum of 300-550m (500m), and the maximum of 3km can be used when using single-mode fiber.

1000BASE-LX can be connected to single, multimode fiber; 1000base-sx can only connect multimode fiber.

X25: The maximum rate is 64kbps.

V24: The router end is a DB50 connector and the external network end is a 25-pin connector.

V35: The router end is a DB50 connector and the external network end is a 34-pin connector.

V35 cables are generally only used for synchronous transmission of data, can be in the interface package X.25, Frame Relay, PPP, SLIP, LAPB and other link layer protocol, Support Network layer protocol IP and IPX.

The v.35 cable transmission (under synchronous mode) is recognized as the highest rate of 2048000bps (2mbps).

Transmission distance: related to the transmission rate, 2400bps-1250m;4800bps-625m;9600bps-312m 19200bps-156m;38400bps-78m;56000bps-60m;64000bps-50m ; 2048000bps-30m.

The following is a description of several common but important control signals in the v.24 and v.35 procedures:

DTR (Data terminal ready, terminal Ready)

The DSR (data Set Ready) is used primarily for negotiation information between transmission devices.

DCD (Data carrier detect) is used to detect the current link state of the device.

RTS (request to send requests to send)

CTS (clear to send purge sent)

BRI: Use rj-45 crystal Head connector. Interface procedures for customized bandwidth of 2b+d, a total of 128kbps.

Ce1: Can use the time slot range is 1~31, the time slot 0 uses in the system synchronization, cannot use in the data transmission. Each logical interface feature is the same as the synchronous serial port, which supports the link layer protocol of PPP, Frame Relay, LAPB and X.25, and supports network layer protocols such as IP and IPX.

The router Ce1/pri interface is a db-15 (PIN) connector, which is either a BNC head or a rj-45 Crystal Head connector at the network end.

Now, generally use 75 European copper shaft cable to 120 euro shielded twisted pair of conversion adapters to connect the use of RJ-45 connector Ce1/pri cable.

PRI: can use 30 of 32 time slots, the other 0 o'clock slots for system synchronization, 15 o'clock slot used as D-channel transmission signaling, can not be used casually.

The PRI interface can provide total bandwidth of 30b+d, total 2048kbps.
