After all, Windows Azure is a new cloud computing platform. The SQL azure relational database engine, one of its three major components, provides a wealth of functions. In view of this, some companies and developers have developed some excellent tools to meet users' needs. Next, we will give an overview of these third-party tools. This article is followed by the previous article "Introduction to SQL azure third-party tools (1)".

Ii. toolset (iii) SQL azurebackup

The SQL azure backup tool is an excellent tool developed by Redgate, which can back up or restore databases on SQL azure. The SQL azure backup tool backs up the SQL azure database to SQL Server, and restores it from SQL Server to SQL azure database engine.

Note that the SQL azure backup tool is free but not open-source and requires Microsoft's DOTNET 4 Framework framework to be installed.

(4) mylittleadmin

Mylittleadmin is a Web-based SQL azure management tool that manages SQL azure servers and databases through a browser.

The main features of mylittleadmin are as follows:

 

1) provides a web-based management interface that supports various browsers.

 

2) provides content management for sqlazure servers and databases. You can insert, delete, and modify data table content, and import/export table data.

 

3) supports four languages. Mylittleadmin provides four language packs, including English, French, German, and Japanese.

4) You can access all the servers and database objects on SQL Azure, including tables, views, SP, indexes, triggers, and roles.

 

5) the query editor and Wizard help, as well as the interface skin replacement function are provided.

 

Note that the mylittleadmin tool is a paid software.

(5) SQL compare

SQL compare is another excellent tool developed by Redgate (Redgate,

The SQL compare tool can be:

Azure diagnosticsmanager is an excellent tool developed by cerebrata. It is developed based on Microsoft's WPF and is a client tool for troubleshooting windows azure. The Azure diagnostics manager tool allows you to view, download, and manage diagnostic data for applications running on Windows azure.

The main functions of the azure diagnosticsmanager tool are as follows:

You can view historical event data, site event data, filter data based on event types, event sources, and other parameters, download event data, clear event log data, and browse offline data.

You can view historical performance counter data, view on-site performance counter data, view performance counter summary on the dashboard, view charts, download performance counter data, and clear performance counter data.

It can track historical and field log data, filter log data, download log data, and clear log data.

By default, the diagnostic data of the azure program is saved on the virtual machine. You can store diagnostic data persistently or transmit diagnostic data as needed.
