In the Page Setup dialog box, you can columns a section, an entire document, or a page after the insertion point, or you can change the direction in which text is arranged in the specified page.
I. Sub-column
1. Open the Page Setup dialog box and switch to the Document Grid tab.
2. In the text flow, set the number of columns you want in the number of columns box.
3. Select entire document or after insertion point in the Apply to combo box in preview. If a section break exists in the document, there is also a "this section" item.
4. Click the OK button to close the dialog box. The document page will change as set.
Second, change the direction of text arrangement
By default, Word's text flow direction is horizontal, and this example sets the text flow direction after the insertion point to vertical.
1. Open the Page Setup dialog box and switch to the Document Grid tab.
2. In text flow, select a direction of vertical.
3. Select "After insertion point" in the Apply to combo box in preview.
4. Click the OK button to close the dialog box. The text flow direction after the insertion point changes to a vertical direction (the page changes to landscape after the insertion point, and if you want to keep it portrait, you can switch to the Margins tab after step 2nd and choose Portrait orientation).
