On the desktop, right-click my computer and choose Properties> advanced> environment variables> system variables ", you can view and create system variables.

1.3.1 create a new system variable with the variable name java_home and the variable value: C:/jdk1.5.0 _ 06 (note that C:/jdk1.5.0 _ 06 is used because I installed JDK in C:/jdk1.5.0 _ 06: /jdk1.5.0 _ 06. Set this value according to the actual situation. In the future configuration, you can use "; % java_home %" to replace the Java installation directory ).

1.3.2 create a new system variable named classpath. The variable value is ..; % java_home %/lib. Note that there is an English ending and semicolon (".;") at the beginning, which must be at the beginning and must be indispensable.

1.3.3 find the system variable path and add "% java_home %/bin;" at the beginning of it. Note that there is an English ";" at the end.

1.4 check whether the configuration and installation are correct

Figure 12. Select the "run" command to run the "cmd" program. For example.

Figure 13 shows the interface for running the "cmd" command.

Figure 14: run the "Java" command. This is the running interface.

Figure 15: run the "javac" command. This is the running interface.

If you see the same result as above, it proves that the installation and configuration are correct.
