Kettle Excel import data to a database

Recent study of Big data processing, due to the needs of project development, using an easy way to import data from Excel into the database, the development of the use of kettle tools.

Kettle Tool installation is very simple, after downloading from the official website, directly extracted to the set of the drive letter can be (if you configure the Java environment variables, Path,classpath).

Double-clicking the Spoon.bat file in the Windows environment appears as:

Click on the icon to make a local file import configuration

Select the option under the Red wireframe and click OK

You can create a Data transformation project by either of the two places above.

Select the Excel input from the left input, drag to the right, and double-click the icon that appears.

Follow the steps above, select Excel to import the data, and then select the worksheet.

Then click Get sheet name

Click OK

The display of the field is then configured.

Click OK so that the Excel input configuration is configured.

Next, configure the table output (to export the data in Excel to a table in the target database, and note that the table in the database is preferably in the same field as the Excel table, so that the next data field mapping is more convenient)

Drag the table output to the right from the output on the right

Establish a connection relationship between the two (place the mouse over the Excel input, an option appears, place the mouse over the corresponding option, and then drag the mouse to the table output to appear in the Blue line)

After the data connection succeeds, select the configuration of the table that imports the data into the target table

Then select the database field and configure the field mapping

This adds the fields to the rightmost box and clicks OK.

Click OK, so the entire configuration will be over. Click to start it.
