How to make excellent applications? The answer to Krieger, founder of Instagram, is to carefully observe what people really need in their lives, rather than making guesses. He's at 500
At the conference held by startup, he shared his eight-point experience in product design. The first article said: "searching for something on Google does not mean that you really understand this thing." To create a product to solve the problem, "you must know yourself better than people."

For example, if you want to subvert the current shopping experience, you have to really understand the current shopping experience and behavior model. "Go to a hypermarket or boutique station for three hours and observe how people shop." This is Krieger's suggestion. After careful observation, you have to have your own unique insights, not just some established reality. Krieger said his favorite definition of "insight" is something that will make you excited and want to share with strangers on the subway.

    1. Starting from the old experience: start-ups are very reluctant to be in the "Searching for problems" stage. Don't imagine a problem out of thin air. Think about what you have thought about in the past, you can learn more about these fields.
    2. Know what is the difference: understand what is the difference between your startup company and others, and find out why it is a special opportunity.
    3. Sketch and writeCode: Another founder of Instagram, mongorom, often takes the iPhone design cart and goes to the cafe to sit and discuss which functions should be retained and deleted together. Maybe you will waste a few design boards, but it will not waste weeks to write code.
    4. A little progress every week: we have been asking ourselves these questions: "Do users like to move and share images? Can we make some nice filters ?" It takes a week to investigate and continue next week after the conclusion is reached on Friday.
    5. Verification function in daily life: Krieger calls it "bar detection" and explains a function to a stranger in the bar. If the other party does not understand it, it indicates that it needs to be simplified. Don't just look for tech experts around you to test new features.
    6. Know when to transform: Although transformation is no longer a good term, it is time to transform it when you discover that there are no problems to solve.
    7. Social prototype testing: there is no need to write all the code at the beginning, and you can hide it behind the scenes for manual testing. In earlier versions of Instagram, you have considered adding such a feature: remind you when your friends join. Krieger did not directly implement this function and then test it. Instead, it manually sends a notification to the user. As a result, the user feedback is not satisfactory, so this function is not implemented. "We didn't write a line of code, so we don't need to delete a line of code ."
    8. Maintain smooth communication with your users: Do not spend a few months working on products, but do not know whether this function is required by users.
