The last task in Excel table editing is often printing. In practice, our printing tasks are often not easy, such as we want to print only the areas needed in the worksheet, or we want to print the formula itself rather than the calculation of the formula, and so on. Excel can provide us with flexible printing options, we need to make smart settings.
1. Printable area settings
In many cases, we don't need to print all of the worksheets, but we just need to print something, so at this point we need to specify the print area for the print. Click menu command "view → Page preview" and then select the range of cells you want to print in the Preview view, click the menu command "file → print area → Set the print area" or right-click and click "Set Print Area" in the pop-up menu. This way, printing will only print our selected area section.
If you need to add cells to an existing print area when the settings are complete, just select the cells you want to add, right-click on the area, and choose Add to print Area from the pop-up menu, as shown in Figure 1.

There is also a way to achieve this task. That is, first select the area you want to print on the worksheet, and then click the menu command "file → print", and in the Open Print Content dialog box, select the selected area single option, as shown in Figure 2. This method is also very simple and practical.

2. Header and Footer settings
Click the menu command "file → page settings", and then click "Header/Footer" In the Open dialog box, or click the menu command "view → header and footer" To open the dialog box shown in Figure 3. All we have to do is just select the header and footer style you want in the Drop-down list below the header or footer.

Of course, we can also customize the header or footer. Just click the custom header or custom footer button in the dialog box, and then click the left, center, or right edit box, and then click the appropriate button to insert the appropriate content. Of course, we can also enter the content we need directly in the edit box.
