In the process of learning ps, we often encounter some technical terms. Next we will give a brief explanation of some frequently used and difficult-to-understand terms.

Pixels:Pixels are the most basic elements of an image. They are actually independent small squares. Each pixel can record its location and color information. Each small square in is a pixel, which records various information about the image.

Constituency:It is also called the selection range, which is the range in which the PS edits the image. Any edits are invalid outside the selection range. When no selection area is set up on the image, it is equivalent to Selecting All. The black and white lines in are the boundary of the selection area. operations on the image are only valid for the selection area.

Yu Hua:Softens the edges of the selection area, and changes the image editing across the boundary of the selection area. The range is 0-250. When the valid pixels in the selected area are less than 50%, the boundary of the selected area is no longer displayed on the image. Is the effect of Filling Different evaluate selection.

Eliminate the Sawtooth:When editing an image, the PS will automatically fill in the pixels on its edge to soften the transition between adjacent pixels on its edge. In PS, the selection area is mainly set up. To facilitate observation, the view is enlarged.

Tolerance:The color range between pixels in an image. The greater the tolerance, the greater the range of the selected pixels. The value range is 0-255. It is the result of using a magic wand selection tool to make discontinuous selection of images under different tolerances.

Hybrid mode:The method of applying a color to another color according to a specific mixing rule to obtain the color of the result is called the color mixing. This type is called the mixed mode or mixed mode. There are 6 groups of 22 mixed modes in PS. Is the effect of using red in Different mixed modes.

Traffic:Control the color concentration of the paint brush applied to the image. The higher the flow, the higher the color depth. The value is 0%-100%. Is the result of image operations under different traffic control with the same paint brush.

Style:Custom style editing for activity layers or constituency, similar to action.

Internet access:Remove the mesh pattern generated by printing and adding a net to the scanned file to obtain a more refined image. Note that any scanned file cannot reach the quality of the original printed copy after it is removed from the Internet. Center, left, and right, respectively.

Resolution:The number of pixels within the unit length (usually 1 inch. For different output requirements, the resolution size is different. For example, the commonly used screen resolution is 72 pixels/inch, while the general printing resolution is 300 pixels/inch.

File Format:To meet different output requirements, the storage mode of the file is adopted, and various information and quality of the image are selected based on certain specifications. It is equivalent to the Entity description of various information of the image.

Slice:To speed up web page browsing, you can use a slicing tool to separate images into several blocks without compromising the image quality, which speeds up loading when you open the web page. For example, each square is a slice and can be output in multiple parts.

Input:Methods for obtaining images or special pairs in other ways. Such as scanning and commenting.

Output:Convert images into other file formats to achieve file exchange between different software or meet other output requirements.

Color mode:The color pattern is used to organize pixels in an image according to certain rules. Different output images have different color modes. Common color modes include RGB, CMYK, and lab.

Layer:To facilitate image editing, each part of the image is independent. The editing operation on any part does not work on other parts.

Mask:A mask is used to protect any area of an image from being edited and to apply the editing operation to its layer. For example, the mask converts its black and white controls to transparent effects on the image. The black part of the mask is completely transparent, and the white part is completely opaque.

Channel:The channel completely records the color information and ink strength of various monochrome components of the image, and can store various selection areas and control opacity during operation. It is the display effect of an image in the color (RGB), red (R), Green (G), and blue (B) channels.

Bitmap image:A bitmap is also called a raster image. It consists of pixels. Each pixel has its own position and color attributes. When the physical pixels of an image are added, the image quality is reduced.

Vector Graphics:It is composed of straight lines and curves of a vector. It does not cause loss to image quality when being amplified, rotated, or edited, such as AI, CDR, and EPS files created by other software.

Filter:The principle of filters in photography is used to edit special effects on images. Although it is derived from a filter, in PS, it plays its function to the extent that the filter is incomparable, making it the most amazing part of PS. There are 13 categories of PS (excluding digmarc filters) and nearly a hundred built-in filters.

Color Gamut warning:The color that cannot be accurately printed by the printer is highlighted in gray. Applicable to RGB and LAB color modes. Is an RGB image. The gray mask on the right is a color that exceeds the printer color printing range. If it is still printed in this mode, A similar color is used to replace the color.
