When installing the Windows Server 2012 operating system on a VMware WORKSTATIONS10 64-bit, the following error occurred:
The virtual machine has been configured to use a 64-bit guest operating system. However, 64-bit operations cannot be performed.
This host supports Intel Vt-x, but Intel Vt-x is disabled.
If Intel Vt-x is disabled in the bios/firmware settings, or if the host has never restarted since the setting was changed, the Intel Vt-x may be disabled.
(1) Verify that Intel vt-x is enabled in the Bios/firmware settings and that trusted execution is disabled.
(2) If one of these two bios/firmware settings has changed, restart the host.
(3) If you never restart the host after installing VMware Workstation, reboot.
(4) Update the host's bios/firmware to the latest version.
Workaround:
1, restart the computer press F1, enter the BIOS settings page;
2, select Advance, and then select Intel Virtual technology, this option should be disabled (off);
3. Change disabled (off) to Enabled (open);
4, save the settings, restart can.
