Failure phenomenon:
The appearance of the contact plate failure in the use of the model. The specific symptom is that when using the trackpad, the trackpad pointer cannot be moved, and the right border bar and the application bar appear on the screen. As shown in the following illustration:
Reason analysis:
The test found that the above phenomenon occurs when a WIN8 system is installed on a machine that uses the trackpad to slide from the top, left, and right direction of the trackpad from the outward trackpad (pictured below). This behavior occurs on all machines that have WIN8 installed.
After analysis, this phenomenon is not caused by the failure of the trackpad, but because the WIN8 system has a special function definition for sliding the touchpad. Because of the default definition of the WIN8 system, the mouse pointer is not allowed to move from the left, top, and right edges while sliding the trackpad.
When the finger slides from the edge of the trackpad, the WIN8 default shortcut command is triggered, causing the mouse pointer to become unresponsive.
Solution:
1. When a quick gesture slips a single finger from the top edge of the trackpad to the trackpad, it triggers the WIN8 key +z shortcut key command.
2. When a quick gesture slips a single finger from the right edge of the trackpad to the trackpad, it triggers the WIN8 key +c shortcut key command.
3. When a quick gesture slips a single finger from the left edge of the trackpad to the trackpad, it triggers the WIN8 key +ctrl+backspace shortcut key command.
