For a variety of reasons, we often find that the icons for some applications on Mac devices suddenly don't appear, and even though the application's functionality is still working, it's ugly. If you also encounter this aspect of the problem, may wish to refer to the user Czczyx provide solutions.
First, for example, the "preview" icon disappears, as shown in the following illustration:
The icon on the dock bar also disappears:
1, open the Finder, in the "Application" to find the icon disappeared in the application ("preview" as an example), right click on "Preview", click "Show Introduction."
We can see that there is no icon in the "preview" profile.
2, then right click on "Preview", click "Show Package Content".
3, navigate to the "application/preview/contents/resources/" folder, find the same icon file as the "preview" main file name Preview Preview.icns, double hit open this icon file.
Note that if the icon for another application disappears, look for the same icon file in the corresponding application's contents/resources/folder as the application's main file name.
4, click to select the top 1th icon (highest resolution), press Command+c (copy icon).
5, click to select the application information (that is, Step 1 show Introduction) the upper left corner of the icon position, press Command+v (paste).
Then we'll see the icon appear in the preview profile and the application list.
6, if the relevant application in the dock or do not display the icon, first right click on the application to remove it from the dock.
The application is then run, and the application is retained in the dock.
7, the application in the dock bar will also display the icon.
