On September 6, October 18, 2014, Beijing University of Science and Technology successfully held a National csdn university club tour, where more than one hundred students attended the event. During the tour, two lecturers were invited to the lecture, Jack min, CEO of piying Ke, and Li tianfang, CEO of the course lattice. This tour is divided into three parts: The first two parts are the speeches of the two lecturers, and the third part is the Q & A session. Based on the enthusiastic sharing of the two lecturers, the students raise questions they are interested in, ask the two lecturers to answer questions.

Min keqian, CEO of Beijing piying ke Technology Co., Ltd.

A piano teacher has been a college teacher, a training school, a software company, and R & D and operation of electronic hardware products. Since 2012, we have led the team to creatively develop the animation cloud engine technology so that anyone can make an animation. This has suddenly improved the production efficiency of two-dimensional animation by thousands of times, it also makes movie shoes a leader in the fast production technology of Internet animation, providing low-cost instant animation production capabilities for education, digital publishing, advertising, media, film and television, and other industries, making everyone an animation master.

From the R & D process of piyingke animation cloud engine, Dr. ke Qian shared with you the technical selection and talent principles of product-driven enterprises, provide your valuable experience and insights on how to become a more popular talent. Piyingke is an animation cloud engine technology that was developed in 2012 by Mr. Yan with his team. This allows anyone to make animations. The on-site instructor will show you how to make animations easily and quickly, including scene selection, character setting, changes in character language and action expressions, and scene changes, it won the applause and exclamation point from the audience.

Such an excellent product has encountered many difficulties in the R & D process. The first challenge is the technical selection, including the latest technologies vs mature technologies, high efficiency vs stability, and technologies supported by small and beautiful technologies vs large institutions. In the end, the instructor's team chose the "technology that is easiest to find talent" as the direction, avoided the problem by "Improving Performance through reasonable structure design", and found a suitable technology.

Second, after the technical selection problem is fixed, it will be a big problem of team building. When looking for team members, Mr. Yan has three goals: finding the most appropriate person (goal, timing, technology, work and thinking habits) find people with complementary capabilities, and find people who are better than themselves. At the same time, I have summarized the principle of employing people by myself to help you cultivate your professional qualities. Several principles include: 1) Selecting passionate people; 2) Selecting curious people; 3) selecting target people; 4) using experts with high salary, but at a lower cost; 5) The more master you are, the more detailed you are, the more willing you are to give up the details.

The third challenge is teamwork. As we all know, the collaboration ability in a team is very important, and the instructor's team will inevitably encounter this problem. Instructor Yan patiently explained the precautions for handling the problem: the difference between team-based development and personalized development, the importance of good code habits, the importance of test habits, and communication are the first skills for team-based development.

Finally, I hope that you will be more comfortable in your career. The following are my experiences:

  • The era of experts is gone forever. Now is the era of innovation;
  • How to become the leader of the team;
  • When the product owner is not a coder;
  • Learn a new technology and master a mature technology;
  • Be curious.

Founder/CEO of course lattice, Li tianfang

Previously, he was an early member of the Silicon Valley Big Data Company palantio. Return to China to start a business in 2010. 2012 founded the course lattice, China's largest mobile Course table for college students and vertical communities. He has 15 years of programming experience and has worked in games, web, financial analysis, big data algorithms and visualization, iOS and Android mobile applications.

Compared with Jack min, Mr. Li tianfang tells more about his personal growth experience and experience. Mr. Li tianfang grew up in the United States and received a lot of Western education. In the United States, lawyers and doctors are two jobs with high social status, but he thinks these are boring. In the high school era, he is keen on Starcraft games and spends a lot of time playing games every day, he also scored the top 10 in North America, so he chose a Computer Major to make his favorite game at the university. After graduating from college, I worked in Seattle and New York, and finally chose San Francisco, because Silicon Valley joined the Silicon Valley Big Data Company palantio[ currently the largest big data company in the United States]. Over the past three years in Silicon Valley, he has changed his views on programming. programmers have no upper limit. If he sees himself as an engineer, the project will end on a day, however, if you think of yourself as an artist and work of art is never finished for a day, it depends mainly on how you locate yourself.

Mr. Li tianfang returned to China in 2010. After returning home, he found that Chinese programmers were named "code farmers" and "It male". They felt the opposite in Silicon Valley, this prompted his idea of starting a business. During his initial career, he chose the unpopular Ruby language for two reasons: 1. Fun. 2. Screening talents by language. Ruby is a cold language. People who can select this language must love programming very much. It turns out that he is right and his team members have not left for three years. In the first 18 months of their business, they made 11 products, repeatedly produced products, launched, produced products, and launched the products until the course lattice was launched for more than 0.1 million users in a week, then we began to constantly improve the course lattice. At present, it has been online for three years. There are already 13 million users in the course grid, and the average daily active users are Superman.

Teacher Li tianfang pays more attention to user needs. He will visit 10 ~ 15 schools, face-to-face contact and chat with students. Teacher Li tianfang is such a young, simple, optimistic, and passionate person to bring us such a useful product.

After the wonderful speeches of the two instructors, I entered Q & A. You may ask questions:

Q: What is the biggest problem during the entrepreneurial period?

A: Mr. Li tianfang: Be patient. In the process of starting a business, I often hear how much money I have earned in a short period of time, which may easily lead to impetuousness. I need to hold myself down and keep doing so.

Mr. Ke Qian: I agree with Mr. Li. Be able to withstand loneliness and stick to what you think is right. Three years ago, more than 100 investors did not believe that this could be done, but we did. Another problem is financial pressure. In the end, we turned the lack of money into a greater motivation for our team.

Q: How likely is the opportunity that you think when you start a business, Mr. Li tianfang?

A: instructor Li tianfang: there are indeed some opportunities for the success of the course lattice. However, I think the success of a person or product may start with an opportunity, the longer the experience, the less likely the opportunity will be. The final success depends on the strength of the individual.

Q: currently, there are many development languages. What are your suggestions for learning C language?

A: C language is a basic underlying language. It is the basis for learning other languages. It is necessary to spend some time learning basic skills.

Q: How can we coordinate technical and non-technical personnel in the group during the entrepreneurial process?

A: Instructor min keqian: There is a development method called Agile development. Different people are used to build a team. through effective communication, everyone in the team can understand and grow together. It also reflects the importance of team collaboration and gives full play to the strengths of everyone in the team.

Q: How can I defeat other competitors of the same type in the course lattice?

A: Mr. Li tianfang: Although we have many users, we will extract the real needs of real users without worrying about being surpassed by our competitors. Currently, the download rate of a competing product is similar to that of the course lattice, but the retention rate of the course lattice is three times that of him. For example, in the current market, instead of having 10 yuan on the table, we must get 10 yuan from our competitors. Instead, we need to get a bigger market and generate greater value, long-term operation and development.

Q: Which one needs more time to cultivate the networking and technical capabilities?

A: Instructor Zang keqian: When you really create value for users, nothing else matters. When your product cannot bring value, even the best social networking is useless. The customer has never spent time on social networking, but is dedicated to creating value for the user and realizing the user's benefits.
