7z is an open source compression software. The compression ratio is higher than that of WinRAR. I will not talk about the use of windows, but now I will talk about its use in Linux.
First of all, download the Linux version of 7z, but on Linux, The 7z is called p7zip rather than 7z.
I am running the tar version. It doesn't matter if the installation is not completed after the installation. You just need to execute the command and directly go to the bin directory. The following describes the basic decompression and compression commands:
Decompress the file:
7z x manager.7z-r-o/home/baby/desktop
I will explain the following:
X indicates to decompress the file and decompress it according to the original directory (there is also a parameter E
But it will decompress all the files to the root instead of the original folder)
Manager.7z
It is a compressed file. here you need to replace it with your own. If the directory is not in the current directory, you must add the complete directory.
-R indicates recursion of all subfolders
-O indicates the directory to which the files are extracted. Note that the directory is directly connected without spaces after-o.
Compressed file/folder
7z A-t7z-r manager.7z/home/baby/desktop/manager /*
I will explain the following:
A Indicates adding a file/folder to the compressed package
-T indicates the compression type, which is generally set to 7z.
-R indicates recursion of all subfolders
Manager.7z is the compressed package name
/Home/baby/desktop/manager/* is the directory to be compressed. * indicates all files in the directory.
