We've created two iSCSI virtual disks on WSS2008 using iSCSI target Software, and in this article we'll show you how Server1 and Server2 access these iSCSI virtual disks. Server1 and Server2 can use the iSCSI protocol to access virtual iSCSI disks on WSS2008, because the iSCSI protocol is already built into Windows Server 2008, So we don't have to install iSCSI client software on Server1 and Server2. If the operating system for Server1 and Server2 is Windows Server 2003, then we need to install the iSCSI initiator on Server1 and Server2.
We take Server1 as an example of how to access an iSCSI disk on a Windows Server 2008 R2, and we perform "iSCSI administrative" in Server1 's initiator tools. As shown in Figure 1, the system prompts us that the iSCSI service is not running, that the iSCSI service needs to be started and that the service is set to start automatically, and we choose Yes.

As shown in Figure 2, in the target tag of the iSCSI initiator, we enter the wss2008, which is simply used to describe the iSCSI target, and can be set casually.
