In the previous article, the old left has added a site in VPS, and then we need to upload the program to build the site. We can use the WinSCP tool to directly transfer programs to our corresponding site directory, and then add a database to install the website. However, the method I shared today is a relatively advanced SSL remote download program. The advantage is that if we use a large CMS program, we can directly download it to the VPS, to save the trouble. You can use commands to save time.
First, use Putty to log on to our VPS and go to our site directory. Today, I will install wordpress to create a blog as an example;
Second, enter the command for remote download;
Wget http://cn.wordpress.org/wordpress-3.4.1-zh_CN.zip
Here I download the English text in ZIP format.
Third, the download only takes three seconds to solve the problem. It would take a while if we use FTP to upload the file, and then decompress the file;
Unzip wordpress-3.4.1-zh_CN.zip
Step 4: After decompression, move the file to the root directory.
Cd wordpress
Mv *../
The above command first enters the wordpress decompressed folder to see if all the files are in it, and then cut all the files and move them to the root directory of the top-level website.
In this way, we will download the WP program and place it in the root directory. If we are familiar with the command, we will solve the problem in a few seconds, and then we will simply add a database. Add data and install the site. Let's talk about it in the next article. Now, let's do it first. Go out.
Install WordPress blog with SSL (add database and install)
The tutorial for installing wordpress was originally published in the previous "LNMP series tutorial 3: Installing WordPress blogs (downloading programs) through SSL". Due to some delays, another article was launched. We have downloaded the video and uploaded it to the root directory. Now we only need to complete Step 2. The first step is to add the database. Here we will set it manually on phpmyadmin. I will learn about it later and then use the command to see how to add a database.
Step 1: Open phpmyadmin;
This path is our IP address + phpmyadmin. To ensure security, we recommend that you change the database address to a more complex name after LNMP is installed. Here I will only demonstrate it and do not change the name.
Step 2: After logging on to phpmyadmin, click "permission" above, and then click "Add new user" on the following interface ".
As shown in the preceding figure, the old left has been identified. You can simply add a database.
Step 3: After the database is added, we will return to the resolved domain name and install wordpress as prompted.
In this way, the installation can be completed step by step, and the subsequent instructions should not be left alone. The same is true for other CMS installations.
In this way, we have learned through four Tutorials that we can also try to install LNMP and create a site on our own. It is actually very easy. After the installation is complete, it will be much easier to establish a site later.
