1. What is git

The definition of git on Wikipedia: It's a free, distributed version Control tool, or a fast source code management tool. Git was originally developed by Linus Torvalds to manage the development of the Linux kernel. Each git working directory is a completely separate code base with complete history and version tracking capabilities, not dependent on the network and hub servers.

The presence of git eases the pressure on many developers and Open-source projects to manage branch code, and encourages developers to contribute to projects of interest to them due to good control of the branch. Many open source projects, including Linux kernel, Samba, x.org Server, Ruby on Rails, have transitioned to using Git as their version control tool. For those of us who like to write code, there are two of the biggest benefits, we can submit our own code and view the code version at any location (on the subway to work), we can open many branches to practice our ideas, and the cost of merging these branches is almost negligible.

2. Use git

Talking about git has to talk about Git hub, it is the network more popular hosting platform, but because of China's network environment reasons (you know), the domestic git hub still need to go some trouble. So this article is to introduce a domestic code hosting platform------Oschina

First of all, the Oschina code hosting address: https://git.oschina.net/, can create up to 1000 items, not limited to private or public, I think for individuals or small businesses are enough to use. And after the author test, the speed is quite to the force, OK, I will give you an illustrated below the use of the method.

Open Address: After https://git.oschina.net/is the following interface, select registered users or use a Third-party user authorization to log in, but both of these methods need to activate the account mail before use.

Click Create Item

If you don't want to open the project, check "private items."

It is recommended that you select the following check box, and then click Create Item. The project name proposal here is consistent with the project name in Eclipse

There is only one readme.md file in the remote project at this time.

So we've finished creating a project on Oschina so we can upload and version control of the code through the GIT client.
