1. Open MapInfo Professional
Ii. Menu-> tool-> universal Converter

3. Set the conversion format and file directory
No matter which method is used, the following "Universal converter" dialog box will pop up:
Select to convert from the source MapInfo tab format file to the target ESRI shape format file.
Note:
1. The file name can be Chinese, but the path and folder name of the source file cannot contain Chinese (it must be in English and the directory of the target file can contain Chinese ). Otherwise, a conversion error message is displayed, probably because the software does not support Chinese characters very well.
2. You can select multiple source files for conversion at a time.
