Excel is our commonly used spreadsheet software. How to use Excel more efficiently? Here are some tips for using Excel quickly.

1. Quick Start Excel

If you want to use Excel frequently in your daily work, you can launch it when you start Windows and set the method:

(1) Start "My Computer" into the Windows directory, follow the path "Start Menuprograms" to open the Startup folder.

(2) Open the folder where Excel is located, drag the Excel icon to the Startup folder with the mouse, and the shortcut to Excel is copied to the Startup folder, and the next time you start Windows, you can quickly start Excel.

If Windows is started, you can quickly start Excel in the following ways.

Method: Double-click the any Excel workbook in the document command on the Start menu.

Method Two: Use the mouse to drag an Excel application from my computer to the desktop, then choose Create Shortcut from the shortcut menu to create a shortcut to it, just double-click its shortcut at startup.

  

2. Get help quickly

For a toolbar or screen area, you just press the key combination shift+f1, and then click the toolbar button or screen area with the mouse, and it pops up a help window that tells the element's detailed help.

  

3. Move or copy cells quickly

Select the cell, then move the mouse pointer over the cell border, press the left mouse button and drag to the new location, and then release the key to move. To copy a cell, press CTRL before releasing the mouse.

  

4. Find workbooks quickly

You can use any text in the worksheet to search by:

(1) Click the "Open" button in the toolbar, in the "Open" dialog box, enter the full name of the file or part of the name, you can use wildcard characters instead;

(2) In the Text Properties edit box, enter the text you want to search for, preferably the word or phrase you think is unique, so that the search is easier to succeed;

(3) Select "Start Find". Before you find a file that satisfies the criteria, the status bar for the Open dialog box displays the "0 files found" message, and you should be patient, indicating that the search has ended only when the Open button becomes available from the grayed out state.

  

5. Quick Print Sheet

If you choose the Print command on the File menu to print, the Print dialog box appears to allow you to choose a program that is cumbersome. To skip this dialog box, you can click the Print button on the Standard toolbar or press the SHIFT key and click the Print Preview button, and Excel will print with the selected sheet option.

  

6. Quickly switch worksheets

Press the Ctrl+pageup key to activate the previous worksheet and press Ctrl+pagedown to activate the latter worksheet. You can also use the mouse to control the label scrolling buttons at the bottom of the worksheet to quickly move the name of the worksheet, and then click the worksheet to toggle.

  

7. Quickly switch workbooks

For fewer workbook switches, click the Workbook's window. To switch multiple jobs under multiple windows, it is most convenient to use the Window menu. The bottom of the Window menu lists the names of the workbooks that you have open, to switch directly to a workbook, and choose its name from the Window menu.

The Window menu can list up to 9 workbooks. If there are more than 9, and the Window menu contains a command called multiple windows, a dialog box that lists all the open workbook names in alphabetical order is available, just click the name you want.

  

8. Quickly insert Word form

Excel can work with the data that is listed in a Word table, and you could quickly insert a Word table by using the following methods:

(1) Open the file in which the Word form resides;

(2) Open the Excel file that you want to work with the Word table, and adjust the position of the two window so that you can see the table and the area where you want to insert the table;

(3) Select the form in Word;

(4) Hold down the left mouse button, drag the table to the Excel window, release the left mouse button to place the table in the position you want.

  

9, Fast link online data

You can quickly establish a link to data in a Web workbook in the following ways:

(1) Open the workbook on the Internet that contains the data you want to link to, and select the data in the workbook, and then click Copy on the Edit menu;

(2) Open the Excel workbook where you want to create the link, and in the area where you want to display the linked data, click the upper-left cell;

(3) Click the paste Paste command on the Edit menu, and in the Paste a button dialog box, select the Stick link. If you want to create a link without opening the Internet workbook, click the cell where you want the link, and then type (=) and the URL address and the location of the workbook, such as: =http://www.js.com/[filel.xls].

  

10. Quickly create a toolbar

Toolbars enable you to quickly access commonly used commands or custom macros, and you can create your own toolbars as needed. Click Customize on the Tools menu, select the Toolbars tab, click the New button, enter the name of the new toolbar, and then click OK. When the new toolbar appears in the window, you can use the mouse to drag buttons from the other toolbars to the new toolbar, which will be "settled" here. If you press the CTRL key while dragging, the button will be copied over. Note: You cannot drag a button to the Customize dialog box or to a worksheet, otherwise the button will be deleted.

  

11. Create a workbook quickly

A template is a framework for creating other workbooks that you can use to quickly create similar workbooks. The template method is created by:

(1) Open a workbook that you want to use as a template;

(2) Select the Save As command on the File menu to open the Save As dialog box;

(3) Enter the name of the template in the File name box, and select the template (*.xlt) option from the Save as type list, and the save location automatically switches to the default Template folder Templates folder;

(4) in the Save in location, select the Spreadsheet Templates folder and click Save. That way, you can quickly create a new workbook from that template.

  

12, quick jump to other documents

It's convenient to jump between locations with hyperlinks, if you want to switch to another file, just point to the underlined blue hyperlink file with the mouse, and then click the mouse to jump to the point where the hyperlink points to the child, after reading to return, just click the Web toolbar on the "Back" button.
