1. Place the cursor in the document where you want to insert the number, and then select the MathType menu in the Word menu--Insert the formula argument (insert Equation Reference).

In the MathType menu, click Insert Formula parameter

2. If this function is used for the first time, click "Insert Formula Parameter" and then pop out the following dialog box, meaning double click the formula number you want, the number will appear at the insertion point now, if you do not check the box below, it will pop up this window every time, This prompt will not pop up again after the hook is used.

3. Move the mouse over the formula number that you have inserted in the previous article, and then double-click the number, and you will find that the formula number you need is already appearing where you want to quote the number. The black portion of the figure is replaced by the formula number.
