MB hidden partition story, MB hidden partition story

On the eve of my return home, on Wednesday, I wanted to add a solid state drive to my computer on Thursday to speed up my computer. However, I had to wait until three o'clock in the morning.

Based on our online experience, we need to place the solid state drive in the hard drive of the computer system, and use the bracket of the mechanical hard drive to the position of the optical drive. Based on past experiences, the most scratching-the-head is Dell dismounting the machine, with too many screws. If you want to find a hard disk, You have to unload the entire Dell machine, however, in contrast, the thrilling stories brought about by the M partition are even more confusing.

PS: although we had access to these M hidden partitions when we first learned to reload the system, I have never encountered these partitions, so I will take the opportunity to review them today.

After the installation, use the system disk that was previously prepared and install the system. Everything seems to be smooth, but after the computer is restarted, the black screen is displayed, and various colored bars are displayed, prompt whether to use Dell's built-in screen detection software to detect the graphics card in the system. Select "yes", and the machine prompts "no device in the computer to be detected". Select "no" to continue the black screen... In a few cases, the system fails to be installed ???? After the system is re-installed, it can be determined that it is not a U-start problem or a system problem. There are two problems: the hard drive cannot be started, and the boot of the boot file in the hidden partition fails, unable to boot the system.

The final solution is to delete the M hidden partition in the system so that the system can start normally. Why?

1. What is this m hidden partition?

In fact, it stores boot files. Each time the system loads the M boot file before loading the system. In this case, the system cannot be started, which may be caused by hidden partitions, that is, the system cannot be properly guided to the system for loading.

2. Can it be deleted?

The answer is yes. However, in general, it is not recommended to delete Windows 7, because after deletion, the system may fail to start, and the system may be in full English.

3. Deletion Method

  • After Windows 7 is started, click Start, type "cmd" (without quotation marks) in the search box, right-click it, and select the Administrator to run it.

  • Type "bcdboot c: \ windows/s c:" (this means that the startup file in the hidden partition is copied to the existing system disk c)

  • Now, you have copied the boot file to drive C. Right-click computer --- manage --- disk management --, right-click your current drive C> mark the partition as an active partition (M)

  • Then go back to disk management and delete the M hidden partition.

Through this experience, we have gained a new understanding of the hidden partitions. What is the so-called "is this ?", But I still don't quite understand why the same computer has the same replacement method and why the hidden partition is poor. The only reason is my speculation, do you have a better explanation ??
