6. Working with workstations in domain join
For computers that are joined to a domain in Windows 8.1, the enterprise root certificate Server is automatically trusted by the computer that is joined to the domain because of the Group Policy that is configured Client1. Therefore, computers joined to the domain automatically create work folders for each user, and users can view the working folders of the current user by opening the computer →work Folders in Explorer.

We see "Work Folders" under "This computer," where you can create or copy a file. Then, in Control Panel, select work folders to synchronize.

7. Working folders are used in workstations that are not joined to a domain
Test on a Windows 8.1 computer that is not joined to a domain, mainly divided into two points, one is to apply for and trust the root certificate, and the other is to specify the working folder, the steps are as follows:
(i) Apply for and trust the root certificate:
1) On the client, enter the URL path of the CA Certificate Server Http://192.168.1.1/certsrv, as shown in the interface, click "Download CA certificate, certificate chain or CRL".

3) After downloading the certificate, select "Open", the "Security Warning" message appears, select "Open"

4) in the Install Certificate interface, select "Install Certificate"

5) in the "Certificate Import Wizard" interface, select "Current User" in the storage location.

6) In the Certificate Import Wizard dialog box, select Put all certificates in the following store, click Browse, and select Trusted Root Certification authorities. And then click Next.

7) The Certificate Import wizard appears as complete, click Finish, and the certificates are imported successfully.

(ii) Specify working folder:
1) Open "Control Panel" and select "Working folder".

2) In Work folders, click the Set Working Folder button.
3) In the Enter Work e-Mail dialog box, click enter Work folder URL instead, and then enter the URL path for the file server. (Note that I use another experimental environment, where the https://Server01.xuehao51.com, according to the topology map, should be https://LON-SVR1.xuehao51.com), this URL path is the same as the name of the application server certificate.

4) Enter the user name and password for the current user.

5) In the Confirm Work Folder Location dialog box, you can change the working folder location or not. Click "Next" Directly

6) in the Accept Security Policy dialog box, select Accept these policies on my computer, and then click Set Working Folders.
