A while ago with Microsoft's technical staff to discuss the efficiency of media conversion services, if the application Docker will be a qualitative improvement, did not expect that the foreign Azure has started to support, I believe that the domestic azure support is not too far. Microsoft is working to ensure that Azure becomes the most important solution for developers to build applications and run services. including support for Windows and other open source technologies, Azure wants to be a cloud platform that supports different technologies and devices. Before Microsoft announced its support for Docker, they now extend this support to support Docker's latest release of Docker Machine and Docker Swarm. This is an extension of Azure's technology, as well as an overall productivity goal and technical support for Microsoft's entire company.
Microsoft Azure Cloud Platform Extended Docker support
Docker Machine:azure customers can automate the creation of Docker hosts and manage them using the Docker machine client.
Docker Swarm: Developers can choose their infrastructure, including azure virtual machines, and scale them as needed.
Docker is an open source engine that can automatically apply deployment. It uses containers to replace virtual machines, enabling multiple applications to run concurrently on the same server. In addition to Microsoft, Amazon, Google, Rackspace and Linux vendors canonical and red Hat are committed to supporting Docker.
Since June 2014, Microsoft has allowed users to run Docker on Linux on Azure. Microsoft will also add support for Docker containers to Windows Server 2016, which will be launched next year. Earlier this year, Microsoft provided the first Docker image for Ubuntu Linux on Azure.
