McDonald's has chosen Microsoft Windows XP embedded as the basis for its new POs platform. McDonald's chose Windows XP embedded because of its outstanding performance and unique retail design, as well as its ability to work with the only vendor to provide a wide range of solutions for restaurants. At present, McDonald's has already installed Windows XP embedded on thousands of devices in Europe and Asia, and plans to fully launch Microsoft's operating system on its global standard POS platform.
Through the standardization of Windows XP embedded, along with the application of a pos, McDonald's can further optimize operations and improve the training speed of chain stores employees, it also reduces costs and easily integrates and maintains devices acquired from multiple POS hardware vendors.
