Microsoft new graphic tool acrylic Public Beta (zz)

Today, Microsoft released a new graphic design tool named "acrylic. It is currently in the public beta stage and features are similar to those of Adobe Photoshop that you are already familiar. Acrylic provides advanced graphic editing functions (such as layers) that are not provided by many built-in drawing tools in windows ).

Microsoft described "acrylic" as follows: it is a professional graphic design tool that provides rich pixel rendering functions and smooth and flexible vector graph editing functions to quickly create workflows. With "acrylic", you can create complex design and graphic elements for screens, webpages, or print products.

"Acrylic" features:
*) Vector and pixel tools: supports drawing on the pixel layer, creating objects, inserting images into the vector layer, and converting between the vector layer and the pixel layer, drag and Drop a vector object to the pixel layer to create a selection mask...
*) Excellent pixel graphics engine: You can use a variety of paint engines to create real pixel images. You also create multi-part paint brushes and use them to depict slopes, textures, stains, or thicknesses.
*) Pixel selection tool: strict and precise pixel selection can be automatically performed in complex images. The entire process only requires simple in/out area marking.
*) Vivid effect: You can apply the image effect and color correction filter to each object or layer, whether it is a vector or pixel image.
*) Rich color palette: You can change the color, saturation, brightness, strokes, stroke width, and transparency when drawing a picture.
*) Image Integration: combines individual photos or scanned images into high-quality panorama.

Currently, this software provides a 180-day trial. Microsoft did not disclose whether the software will be integrated into Longhorn or released as a separate product in the future.
