Introduction of Deployment environment:
This deployment involves 2 servers
1. DC:
Role: Domain controller +dns+ DHCP
Operating system: Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard Edition
2. SCCM:
Role: SCCM 2007 sp2+ SQL Server 2008 SP1 + WSUS 3.0 SP2
Operating system: Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise Edition
One, configure the patch management
(i) Configure the sum component of SCCM2007:
1. Since SCCM2007 's sum component has been integrated with WSUSV3, if you are currently a newly installed WSUSv3 or later, you do not need to configure the WSUS wizard after installation, and all configurations are configured with sum to ensure that WSUS and sum are configured to sync. If your WSUSv3 is already in use, it is recommended that you configure the sum first, and then manually change the WSUSV3 configuration to ensure the same as the sum configuration.
2. Login SCCM2007 server, open configuration Manager Console, expand the site database---<sitecode>-sitename---site---site system---\\SCCM, Right-click to select New role, as shown in figure:
3. Follow the wizard prompts to add the SCCM software update point role according to the enterprise requirements, as shown in the following illustration:
4. And sequentially expand the SCCM2007 installation directory under the Logs folder to select the SUPSetup.log file check software update point installation success, as shown:
