Migrate from tadalist to remember the milk

During my senior year internship, I learned the book Getting Real because I was looking for a job to browse the recruitment information. I didn't read it at the time, but since some companies explicitly suggested that employees should read this book, it must be a good one. This book is not written in the name of a person. It is written on the cover of the book by 37 signals. So I learned about 37signals, a small but outstanding company.

They tried to use their products after reading REWORK last year (2011. I know that most of their products are paid for, so I pay less attention to their products. The main focus is on some experiences in their development process, as they mentioned in Getting Real and REWORK. They have indeed overturned a lot of software development, especially some "golden ideas" of web development, and also provided a lot of good suggestions for reference by developers and startups. Some may say that this is their marketing method to attract users. For the time being, regardless of the right or wrong type of question, I think what they share is still very valuable for their contribution alone. Even if they are involved in marketing, they cannot deny their contribution.

I also slowly liked this company. When browsing its home page, we found that there was actually a free product. The website is tadalist.com, which provides the user's simple list of pending items. Like other products of 37signals, tadalist does not have many complex functions, and the entire page function is concentrated on the list, and does not have personalized functions such as when to expire, importance, and completion time, the idea is that the user will do it all by himself. Yes, I like it very much. I only need it to let me write down what I need to do. Others are not important. It can be said that tadalist and I have been using tadalist since then.

A few days ago, because chrome's saving information was cleared, When I re-opened the website tadalist.com, I accidentally saw an announcement from 37signals. The general idea is:

Thanks for your support for tadalist, but because 37signals has shifted its focus to products such as basecamp, it rarely updates tadalist, in addition, there are many alternative products on both the Desktop System and the mobile phone system. Although they wrote this announcement in a very humble tone, I was surprised and angry. However, it was reasonable to think about it later. After all, the company was focusing on profit. Otherwise, the company would not be able to survive in this society.

After a period of searching, we found that remember the milk is such an alternative product. Although its functions are much more complicated than tadalist, I still like its entire page style. I can easily ignore other functions, so I finally chose it. After a few days, I thought it was indeed a very good work list product. It makes up for my regret for losing tadalist!

Well, what I want to talk about is that it is a new beginning, and even if I have no choice but to continue my life and study. Tadalist will continue to provide services, but it will be a little miserable for me to use a product that even the founding team abandoned, so remember the milk will accompany me on the road.
