Recently, my wife's school used a mind map to summarize the knowledge points in the teaching. She was not familiar with the computer and I helped her. The result showed that this mind map was really convenient! Today, I used a mind map to organize the Knowledge System of the project and prepare for the next step of arranging student topics, applying for patents, and publishing articles. Because the subject content is sensitive, the following simple examples are used to replace the actual project.
The biggest advantage of using mind map is convenience. You only need to use the Enter key to add a node, but you can use the tab key to add a subnode. If you find that the node hierarchy or sequence is incorrect, you can drag the node to adjust it as needed. Unlike Visio or smartdraw, you must click a few times to complete these operations. You can draw pictures wherever you think, which is especially suitable for thinking and organizing. It is more convenient than drawing on paper. The following is a simple example.
In the past, I organized the project's knowledge system and often used smartdraw (visio is more difficult than smartdraw in this respect ). Smartdraw is used. First, operations are more difficult than Mind Map operations. Second, if the diagram is too large, the architecture diagram must be divided into many files by hierarchy for ease of reading, then, use the smartdraw link function to link them together. In the mind map, all this is easy. You can draw all the hierarchies in a graph. If you think there are too many hierarchies, you can click the "minus sign" on the right of the node to collect the sub-nodes, just like. If you want to see the sub-nodes, click the plus sign on the right of the node to scale down freely, which is very convenient.
If you want to edit or display too many subnodes in a single window, you can select the drill down function to display all the subnodes in a Single Window, the drill up function can return to the top layer. In this way, you can easily observe the global and take care of the details, which is more convenient than smartdraw/Visio.
In fact, the earliest contact with the mind map was in Guangzhou some time ago. Wu Ting of the seven companies used mindmap to create a project schedule, before each node, you can add a marker to clearly view the progress of each project, as shown in the following figure. However, at that time, I mistakenly thought that the software was similar to the software of Visio or project. I didn't pay much attention to it. Now I found that this is not the case.
I searched the internet and introduced the Mind Map a lot. Unfortunately, I only used it today. I recommend the introduction of Baidu encyclopedia, which is worth reading.
There are a lot of software supporting Mind Map. As mentioned in the previous blog, I should try my best to use open source software. I found a pretty good one on the Internet: xmind.
