The Gantt chart displays tasks in a timeline view.
On the View tab, in the Document view group, click the Gantt Chart;
To select a Gantt chart location, click the Gantt Chart arrow, and then select a location
Tip: To immediately display a Gantt chart with a specific task selected, right-click the task on the map (the task must have a start and expiration date), and then click Show in the Gantt Chart.
The Gantt chart displays all tasks with a start date and a due date.
To add a task to a chart, its task information is calculated by scrolling through the task information, and clicking the Gantt Chart button enables the middle theme to be displayed in the Gantt Chart.
Nonworking days are displayed as shaded sections on the chart, which are defined in the Guide calendar.
The current date (today) is displayed on the chart with colored lines.
If you enable the display of overloaded week options (in the Gantt button drop-down menu) in the Gantt Chart, the week of overused resources is represented by a special shading on the Gantt chart.

Milestones are displayed with a special icon to set a task as a milestone, right-click the task, and then click a milestone.
