Open the terminal (Terminal) and enter the following command:
Defaults write Com.apple.screencapture location/path/
/path/is the save path you want to set, such as storing the screenshot file in the user directory's picture (Pictures) folder, and the command is:
Defaults write Com.apple.screencapture location ~/pictures/
Next, to make the changes take effect, enter the following command:
Killall Systemuiserver
Of course, if you are accustomed to saving screenshots on the desktop,/path/the corresponding path is ~/desktop/.
Screenshot file format
OS X System default screenshot file format is PNG, through the following terminal (Terminal) command can modify the screenshot file format for JPG:
Defaults write com.apple.screencapture type jpg
Alternatively, you can change the JPG in the command to GIF or PDF, and back to the default PNG format. Also, do not forget to enter the above order to make the change effective.
