1. First open the Management Center of moss. Go to the shared service management website (my name is sharedservices1) through the moss management center ). Then, go to the search settings and find the last created range. No rules have been defined.

Here is the technology category. You can see that the Update Status column is empty (because no rules are defined), and the project is empty (because no network crawling is performed ).

2. Click Add rule in the technical field to go to the "add range rule" page.

3. Because the folder in the specified Moss is a URL, select the URL type range rule. The setting page is changed to the following method. You must enter the URL.

Here we can see that there is a folder option and select it. Enter the folder address. The following is a folder example.

The folder contains four documents with the keyword "Shanghai ". Open the test folder.

Here we have two documents: Shanghai Land 2 and Internet companies. In this way, if we enter Shanghai in the search box, we should only search Shanghai Land 2 in the test folder, four other documents with Shanghai keywords in different folders of the same document library should not be searched.

4. Then, select include as the rule below. Here we can see that there is also a need and exclusion, because the range can be added to multiple rules, so the combination of rules can achieve a variety of required searches.

5. Return to the scope page and you will see that the planned update is ready.

6. You can also perform an immediate update through the operation. Go back to the Search Settings page and click Start update immediately under the specified range.

7. The update link turns gray and cannot be clicked. The update status shows that the link is being updated. After the update is completed, the page will be refreshed and the original available status will be restored.

8. Here we will introduce how to add multiple rules to a range. Go to the view range page. If you place the cursor over the previous range, a drop-down menu can be clicked. Click it and select "Edit attributes and Rules" from the drop-down menu ".

9. The "range attributes and Rules" page is displayed. You can reset the range and rules here. You can see the rule you just added in the Rule section. If you want to add more rules, click the new rule link. In this way, the Add Rule Page in step 3 is displayed. Repeat the steps.

10. continue to search for content in a specified folder. Create a Web Part page on the web crawler website just now to add Web parts. Add two Web parts: search box and search core result.

11. First set the search box. Select the do not display range drop-down list from the drop-down list. In miscellaneous, set the URL of the target search result page to the current page. Of course, if you want to put it on another page, you can also solve the problem where the search core results are stored.

12. Set the search core result component. Here, you only need to set a range in miscellaneous. Here, enter the name of the range and the technical category. The settings are complete.

13. Enter the Shanghai keyword in the search box and search. Then, only the Shanghai Land 2 file in the test folder is found.
