There are many lists and document libraries on the website, some of which are important or important to us. We hope to know the changes as soon as possible. Moss provides a function that allows us to receive an email notification when the list or document library changes. This is the "Notify me" function.
1.1 Use the "Notify me" Function
The following uses the document library of the Administration Department as an example.
Click "actions" in the document library and select "Notify me"
On the settings page, modify the "Notification title" as needed. Keep the default value here.
In "Notification occurrence object", you can enter the user to be notified and send the notification to multiple users at the same time.
There are three trigger conditions for the notification, which can be selected as needed. Click "OK ".
After the configuration is complete, the system will send an email to notify you that a notification has been created for the document library.
There are two link buttons on the email. "connect to this document library" can link the document library and outlook. "Preview this document library" can open our pre-defined document library for viewing.
Then we create a new file "Document Change Notification test" in the document library ".
Wait a moment and you will receive a related email. Mandatory check-out and review are enabled for the document library, so relevant information is included in the notification.
1.2 Manage My notifications
Through the above settings, we subscribe to the change notification of the document library. The system also provides another method to subscribe to related notifications and manage subscribed notifications.
In the user name "Welcome mossadmin" drop-down menu in the upper-right corner of the page, select "My Settings ".
Click "My notifications"
We can see the "Administrative Department documentation" of the notification we just subscribed ".
To add a new notification, click "add notification" and select the list or document library you want to subscribe to on the page that appears. Select "vacation application" and click "Next ".
You can see that the page for creating a new notification is the page when we created the "Administrative Department document" Notification above, and more needs to be selected.
After setting, you can see a new "vacation application" notification. When it changes, you can receive the notification email.

I talked about how to use the "Notify me" function to track project changes.
For all our subscriptions on Moss, in addition to managing them on the moss website, you can also manage them using outlook, which is more convenient to use.
In the outlook menu, click "Rules and notifications" under "Tools ".
In the pop-up window, you can see all the notifications you have subscribed.
In addition to deleting subscribed notifications, you can also manage them. Select a notification and click "Notification properties". In the displayed dialog box, click the corresponding function button to link to the relevant website for modification.
