Use

You can maintain this indicator in the following places:

• In the material master record

• For the explosion type of the BOM item (in customizing to Basic Data in Define explosion Types)

The setting for the explosion type overrides this in the material master record.

Dependencies

If the material is assigned to a material type then does not allow quantity-based inventory management (Kmat type) in this Plant, you can set the indicator to individual requirements only.

If the stock is to being managed in sales order stock or project stock, the indicator must are set to one of The following options:

• Individual and collective requirements

• Individual requirements only

If a material managed in project stock was to being procured from another plant using a Cross-company-code stock transport ord Er, the indicator must is set to 2 (collective requirements) in the issuing plant because, in this specific conte XT, individual project stock management is not possible in both plants.

If you set individual indicator for both headers material and dependent material, then if sale order comes for the Qty, Then During MRP Run system would create a plan order with reference to sale order and for dependent material, system would p LAN dependent material as sale order relevant. System won ' t consider warehouse stock for that sale order.

In the your case, you can set the individual/collective indicator as 1 for dependent and no for Header material. Mostly This can is used for do to order scenario.

If you set the individual/collective indicator as 1 for the Header material, during MRP run system would not consider the E Xisting Warehouse stocks for the sales order, MRP would create Planned order against of sales order.

Individual & Collective indicator plays a major role in MRP.

If you set individual indicator for both headers material and dependentmaterial, then if sale order comes for 100 Qty, then During MRP run Systemwill create a planned order with reference to sale order and for dependentmaterial, system Would plan dependent material as sales order relevant. Systemwon ' t consider warehouse stock for that sale order.

If You set collective indicator for dependent material System Willconsider warehouse stock for dependent MATERIAL.

MRP-4 as 1: In individual planning, this indicator is usedto display the dependent requirements of a component separately.

MRP-4 as 2: In collective requirements, this indicator is usedto display the dependent requirements of a component grouped together.
