My Development Environment configuration experience

I am a developer and occasionally reinstalls the system, for example, changing the computer; or Visual Studio should be upgraded, or the system should be broken; every time after installation, I will make a backup, so I did it.

1. Partition

My partition principle is that the C disk is large enough, such as 50 GB or 100 GB, to back up the zone directly, and the necessary software is installed in Zone C. In the past, I often put the software in zone D, however, each time the system is restored, these software may break down; the loss is worth the candle, and the necessary software may be installed in Zone C;

Generally, I will divide the drive into three zones, where Zone D is used for work, xxxx projects, xxxx emails, and so on. There are a lot of directories with Chinese names, and all the things generated during work will be placed in zone D; the e-zone is used to install some tools and software.ProgramOr a little movie or image. It is also used to store backup C-zone image files.

2. Backup

The backup partition uses doshome's one-click ghost hard disk version. We recommend that you go to its official website to find the software. The latest version supports win7. After installation, go to its menu to manually back up the ghost.

3. Required Software

According to personal needs, work-related installation is required; for example, my computer, Visual Studio 2008, Team explorer, Oracle 10g, Office 2007, infragistics, Sybase powerdesigner, PLSQL developer, ietester, fiddler2, Windows Live sync, RTX, PDF reader, WinRAR

4. New Methods

Recently, the "Cloud" was first discovered by resources on and off verycd. Many large software packages on the cloud have been tried and tracked for a period of time, it can still be used for virtualization of some commonly used tools. It records the registry information generated during software installation and wraps the system directories it accesses and uses, store it in a directory named cloudcache in a structure and start it through the main control program. The environment information of the software is restored before the software is started on the cloud to ensure the normal operation of the software;

We recommend that you do not use some system-level tools, such as disk sorting and registry cleaning, because many of the information is 'false' during virtual periods. When cloud software is disabled, the system will completely restore the initial state;

Now I have installed a mess of software on the cloud. If I want to shut it down, the system is still very clean. If I want to restore it later, I just need to point it back to the cloudcache Directory, which is greener than the green software.
