My Mac Pro Coding environment Configuration

The OS X 10.11.1 is installed.

Make a note of some of the things you have developed for your next configuration.

• Installing homebrew

Homebrew is a package manager that installs some UNIX tools (such as the famous wget) that are not available on your Mac for OS X.
Install homebrew with the following line command

" $ (curl-fssl https://raw.github.com/Homebrew/homebrew/go/install) "

• Installing cask

Use the following command to install the cask:

Install Brew-cask

• File Preview Plugin

Some plugins can make file previews on your Mac more efficient, such as syntax highlighting, markdown rendering, JSON previews, and more.

• Some recommended programs to install

If you often use the Alfred Launcher, then you will want Alfred to be able to search for the brew cask installed program, which only needs to run:

• Install ITerm2 + zsh + oh-my-zsh

• Installing Launchrocket

Launchrocket is a tool for managing a brew-installed service that can be installed to look at the running state of all the service, as shown in:

Install Launchrocket will use the brew cask I just mentioned, with the following command:

Install Launchrocket

After the Lauchrocket Settings page is found (as shown), its startup items are also saved in the/opt/homebrew-cask/caskroom/launchrocket directory.

Start lauchrocket a bit troublesome, need to switch settings page to manually start.

I came up with an idea by adding/opt/homebrew-cask to Alfred's search directory and then starting with Alfred, as shown here:

Set up Alfred

Start Lauchrocket with Alfred.
